Rossi Sweet Red From Carlo Rossi : A Different Kind Of Sweet

Just recently, Emperador Distillers – the leading distillery in the country launched Rossi Sweet Red, from Carlo Rossi. This is to acknowledge the growing wine-drinking market and brings in a new kind of wine that fits the Pinoy taste which is envisioned to change the way we perceive wine-drinking.

Rossi Sweet Red is what real sweet red wine should be. Crafted from grapes grown in California’s sun-drenched vineyards, Rossi Sweet Red amazingly bursts with flavor and aroma.

“There is now a growing acceptance for wine-drinking resulting in a burgeoning market, especially among women. This may be attributed to wine’s perceived health benefits. But here in the Philippines, sweet wines are still preferred over dry wines,” explained by Von de Torres, Managing Director of Emperador Distillers.

This preference for sweetness, according to de Torres, compromises the real wine experience because of the Filipinos’ very high inclination for sweet food and drinks that affect their wine choices. Sometimes, they end up settling on sweet “red wines” or simply alcohol-laced grape juice packed in bottles pretending to be wines.

I was able to be part of this media launch and proved that Rossi Sweet Red has soft and sweet taste from layers of vanilla, bright cherry and wild raspberry flavors. The soft velvety finish and the right alcohol content which I think is essential in a real sweet red wine should be.

The Rossi Sweet Red was served to us in a long-stemmed glass which was really creative, fun and less formal. Very different to what i was used to. Haha! 🙂 And it was also served with ice. . It’s like having my “Rossi on the Rocks” in stem-less wine glasses which allowed me and the guests to discover a different kind of sweetness.

The event was full of fun games which made the guests appreciate Rossi Sweet Red more. We were also served with a sumptuous buffet. The media launch became a perfect celebration of sweet success, bonding with my blogger friends and other media guests too. 🙂

Rossi Sweet Red is a perfect beverage in any celebration, be it big or small. it is also suitable to be consumed even on ordinary days as it is affordable and can be a healthy alternative to iced tea or other beverages.

I am encouraging wine drinkers to be more prudent in their choices. These days, wine-drinking goes beyond conveying status. Consumers should make more educated choices and be able to differentiate real wines from wine substitutes. That’s the only way one can truly enjoy wine-drinking.

Carlo Rossi is actually one of the few affordable wines that I know of whenever I go to the supermarket because it’s one of those wines that I buy for my a-glass-of-wine-a-day lifestyle :))

They say drinking wine is good for the health specially the heart, but still it should be taken in moderation! I love red and white wines, but I still consider the alcohol percentage each bottle of wine have.

  3. Les says:

This is our favorite brand whenever we have family gathering, Carlo Rossi is always present 🙂 He never missed any family occasion even the oldies love it.

  4. Gigi Beleno says:

I’m a bit ignorant when it comes to wine ‘coz I am not a drinker at all. But I think this one is interesting. I might want to get one for the coming holiday.

i’m also not a drinker, but i am already canvassing for best brands out there. unfortunately, they’re a bit heavy for the budget and im afraid i wont be able to appreciate it as a newcomer. so this is an affordable, non-drinker-friendly introduction.
