On this day, at 08:58 PM, exactly one year ago my life changed forever. As I write this I will try my hardest not to cry at the thought of how fast this life moves and how so very much I wish I could turn back the clock so that I am able to relive it all over again.
Forever etched in my heart and soul are those first hours with you. Your daddy and me couldn’t hold you close enough or stare at you long enough. I had been up for 26 hours waiting for your arrival and after it was all over and I heard your first cries, I didn’t want to blink in fear of missing even just a fraction of a moment.
What happened to my 2014?
Mondays lately have been a great time for reminiscing. Thanks to all these #throwbackthursday posts, there’s no perfect moment to remember the days when the only worry I had was whether what to cook for my husband’s dinner.
Aside from the several dalaga figure photos, what tuggs at my heart most often are photos of the little tiny peanut inside my womb. Looking at these pictures now I think, has it really been that long? Had it really been a year since I have become a mother?
Alive, still breathing, but hardly have the time to do all the posts people in my Facebook timeline are tagging me for. I think that’s a good thing. LOL. 🙂
I wish I could say I have been away basking in the golden sunlight of maldives, or rushing through with the locals at times square, thus the lack of posts. As always, my only excuse is that life is currently happening and the only free time I have is spent eating, cuddling with Aarold, and sleeping.
With the back and forth trips to the hospital and pedia, I hardly had the space to breathe. So happy that my baby is good and perfectly okay.

Quezon City, September 17, 2014 – As mothers, you will do anything for your child. Even way before they are brought into this world, your instincts kick in and you tirelessly worry about your baby. You want to learn everything there is to learn and more importantly, you want to protect them from anything and everything that can harm them be it the common cold or a fever; and if you had your way, you would gladly get sick for your child. And your anxiety is not without reason, since there are many childhood diseases that can be harmful or even fatal to children.
Face it: first impressions matter. When you’re due for your job interview, what your future employer sees and gauges won’t be your curriculum vitae in paper, but more importantly, the way you present and carry yourself. In essence, you are your own resumé; putting your best face and attitude forward can make the difference.
